“The Wild Hunt”: a guitar players review
Imagine if Nick Drake hadn’t been depressed……
Now, imagine that “black eyed dog” wasn’t an obvious mellifluous suicide note. No…. imagine that it was a triumphant expression of what was to come… and how perfect it may be.
To realize dreams could come true……. and get bigger than you ever expected. Well.. that pretty much sums up the title track and the rest that come to follow.
Here’s a run down of the track listing and the tunings ( capo everywhere ) :
| 1 | The Wild Hunt cfcfcf (bebebe) |
| 2 | Burden of Tomorrow dadf#ad |
| 3 | Troubles Will be Gone dgdgbd |
| 4 | You’re Going Back dgdgbd |
| 5 | The Drying of the Lawns eadgbe….. |
| 6 | King of Spain cgcgce |
| 7 | Love Is All eadgbd |
| 8 | Thousand Ways bebebe (cfcfcf) |
| 9 | A Lion’s Heart dgdgbd |
| Kids on the Run (piano)
There are so many Dylan comparisons floating around out there, and I get that. But what made Dylan “Dylan”, when Dylan was “Dylan”, was his sincerity and poetic prowess…. and this kid owns his own…. and it stands tall, perhaps the tallest, all on its own. |
